It's Birthday Week!

We have the odd distinction of having 3 of our 4 grandchildren sharing a birthday week. We all got together on Sunday and had a big birthday celebration. We had lots of fun, even snuck a nap in there because of the heat! Then fun in the pool until supper and the gift fun and cake. First was Bryan on Monday. He is now 3, and a delightful child. Sweet, with just enough mischief to keep his mom on her toes. On Wed. was Tina's. Tina is Bryan's older sister. She turned 5 and starts kindergarten in the fall. She is a sweet girl who rarely gets into trouble, although she has been known to kick Bryan occasionally. : )

This coming Sunday is Kailynn's birthday. She will be 4. Kailynn's dad and Tina and Bryan's mom are twins. Kailynn's mom thought it would be so neat if Kailynn and Tina shared a birthday, being the children of twins and all. Kim said she shared a birthday all her life and was hoping for seperate dates for the kids. I just had to laugh. Kailynn is full of life, the leader of the pack, the drama queen. She is also sweet as can be when the mood suits her. I can also see a lot of maturity in the last year. She's good for Tina because cautious Tina sees Kailynn doing things and realizes she can probably do them too. I forsee Kailynn and Bryan getting into their share of trouble in the years to come.

And Aiden? (aka Charlie Brown) He has to wait until Dec. to turn 1. He has a huge smile and seems to be a pretty good natured little guy.
You just have to love those grandkids, they really keep you on your toes, but it's so nice to have the joy of loving them without all the responsibility of raising them.

  1. What gorgeous grandchildren you have! A joint party sounds like fun but tiring in the heat. My daughter's birthfamily have a big party in August cause almost everyone in the family was born in August. They include us every year which is nice of them.
